You are amazing. Loved the note you sent as well – my brother lives in Monmouth and works in Lewiston – and my great grandfather was a civil engineer who worked on the bates mills, so I know Auburn very well. Such a small world. 🙂
Most of my dad’s family were bates mill workers. I can remember the noise and dust from the looms. They made great bedspreads.
