Not so busy!

Yesterday went just as planned, and was lots of fun! A’s friend cancelled for today, though, due to the death of a close friend. 😢

So we have an off day. I plan to put my loom together, and A brought a ton of pellets in yesterday BY HER SELF while I was at whorls and purls, so today we stack them.

I did take a few photos for you of the finished objects:

So now I need to think of some new things to make!

  1. I hadn’t seen the scarf finished and it looks really great – perfect for a guy, but not boring. And you already know I love the shawl – the colors and textures are wonderful. DID YOU GET THE LOOM?

  2. The shawl and scarf are lovely. Were they made with handspun yarn? What kind of loom did you get and how big is it? I don’t remember mom having any trouble putting her loom together because dad did it for her.

    1. Rotfl at dad putting the loom together! I had no trouble at all.

It is a n Ashford rigid heddle, 24 inches wide. I already love it though I am very clumsy.

  3. Your shawl and scarf are beautiful! The pattern in the shawl is lovely! So sorry to hear about your friends loss. I am sure you will have no problem coming up with some new projects to knit. If you really do, I have 64 you can choose from, LOL

    1. I haven’t taken lessons, except watching Kelly Casanova you tube videos. Debbie at the Purple Fleece is a wonderful weaver, and though she is closing the shop TODAY😢 we will still have whorls and purls and I know she will help me. I am still mastering clumsy, though!

A Note From Abroad

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sailaway from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain
