Friday list!

It’s been a log time since I gave you a Friday list. Today promises to be exciting. 😉

Started the morning with cleaning up some cat puke, and scooping the boxes. Get the worst over with early is my motto! (and it goes to show the gritty reality of my glamorous life) Yesterday they went to vet, so all the throw up is normal punishment, I guess. 😜

Next up is the truck service which is where I am now. 8:30 appointment, at 9:15 they said I would be the next one up. This is not normal, usually they are quick.

The dryer will be delivered and installed today!!! That was supposed to be at ten (meaning the slow service here would have messed me up) but they called to change that to 12:30 or 1:00. Which works for the car…

But might mean my quiet lunch/ afternoon with Mom isn’t so quiet!

Before Mom arrives, there is a bit of tidying…

And after she goes is some grocery shopping, plus a stop at the hardware store to get the necessary equipment to hang my new hammock! I am so excited to be able to nap on the porch and sleep there on hot nights. 😊

That’s this list – busy in spurts with knitting on the side. A splendid way to spend the last work day of a stay-cation week!

  1. The way things work around here, the dryer will be delivered about the same time as you and your mom settle in for lunch. I hope they arrive at a convenient time so you can still have that peaceful afternoon with Mom.

  2. Sounds like a busy one for you today. I was expecting a guy to come and powerwash my deck before staining tomorrow. Never showed, never called 😦 Hubby called and he won’t be out until tomorrow at noon. Ugh! I waited all morning. Well, I’ll finish up some cards and get to some knitting 🙂 I hope all goes well with your delivery and the rest of your day.

    1. That sounds about right, doesn’t it? Everything worked out in the end, new dryer, nice visit with Mom, even made it through the Friday night madness to the grocery store, so that chore is done!

    1. It did! And the hammock is up, and I am in it. Not pretty but no one was watching. 😉 now I am going to watch those videos you mentioned…

    1. All done, it was a pleasant afternoon and everything that needed to be was accomplished. Now I am settled in the hammock, we will see if this is a viable summer sleeping option!

  3. Ooooh–a hammock! They make me a little nervous of capsizing but I still fantasize. It sounds like you made it thru your list and maybe now can just hang out and enjoy the weekend?

  4. Sounds like a full day. But I know you will handle it with grace and get everything done in time to relax in the hammock. Are the cats attracted to the hammock? Have they tried getting in it?
