On and off the needles

Finished knitting the scarf. When it dries, it gets a big i-cord daisy shaped flower and it is done!

Hitofude is hard to photograph but coming along. Chart B is complete, just have C, D, E and ribbing to go! That’s 57 rows but who is counting?

That’s what I did this weekend. What are you up to? Do you miss your spring ahead hour as much as I do?

  1. Oh I am in love with that scarf! And your sweater…….wow. It is looking so pretty . Keep it up! i missed my hour of sleep that is for certain! But we welcome the return of more sunlight during and after dinner!!! Porch days can’t be too many weeks away!

    1. Thank you!

Yes, sleep! Ugh, tomorrow will be tough. But evening light is nice! Porch knitting, a vague memory, and hope for the future. 😉

  2. The scarf and sweater are great! You’ll have your sweater done soon enough to wear it for spring:)
I don’t miss that hour now but I’ll really miss it when the alarm goes off at 6AM.

    1. Thanks! I will get the sweater done in time for spring, because I think it will never get here! Ugh, another 12 – 18 inches of snow on Tuesday.

        1. I have not been believing the 18 end of things, either. I wish they would refrain from crazy forecasts until closer to the event, as they always change things right up to first flakes, or even beyond.

    1. Thank you! The scarf really comes out cute, and is easy. I will try to post a link to the pattern. The sweater also isn’t as hard as it looks, and is interestingly constructed. It just goes on forever!

    1. I do wish we would stop fiddling with clocks, it doesn’t seem to accomplish anything any more. It takes me afull week to adjust, and it takes the cats even longer! They don’t seem to tell time well. 😉

  3. All looking wonderful! The sweater is really taking shape and if you ever have spring, you’ll enjoy it. 🙄 Yes, missing my hour – UGH.

  4. That’s beginning to look like a real sweater! And such a pretty color. You’ll have more time to knit in the next few days–maybe more snows days from work??

    1. I do like the color, when it is done, I can get a well-lit photo so you can see it. It looks like a painting of water. 🙂

I am afraid the timing of this storm will mean I drive to and from work in a snowstorm. It will start snowing here around 8 am, apparently, and get really bad mid-day. I bet the boss will go for an early dismissal. Then, Wednesday, it is supposed to snow in the morning but wind down mid-day. Which likely means either a drive to work in a storm, or a delayed opening. Sigh. Maybe they are all wrong and it will start earlier or later which would be ideal. 🙂 Because yes, I want to do some more knitting and spinning!

  5. The scarf is wonderful. I can’t wait to see the I-cord daisy. I love the way Hitofude is coming along. Lots of hard work. Unfortunately there seems to be another storm coming. I still have the generator set up and will fill up all the gas cans today. Hopefully your boss will have a moment of enlightenment and call off work completely rather than having you come in to be sent home just as it becomes dangerous. If he doesn’t can you take a sick day?

    1. Thank you! I’ll post the finished product in a few minutes. I think it needs a button center, but I will let Bobbi decide!

Hitofude is coming along, it’s kind of fun to watch it unfold. But sloooooowwww!

Yes another storm. Ugh. Boss is likely not to be enlightened, but I brought some work home just in case. But my strategy for more than 20 years has been to be there if we are open. So tomorrow I will likely go in, but I am thinking not Wednesday.

Glad you have generator at the ready… that should keep the storm away!

  6. Yay! Well done on the scarf finish. Look forward to seeing the i-cord daisy. Hitofude is looking good and 57 rows ain’t so much. I hate losing an hour when the clocks go forward, but ours don’t go forward until the end of March.
