A nice long holiday weekend

And boy, are we looking forward to it!  We have few real plans, because we have to play so much of life by ear, but on my list to definitely do are:

  • Whorls and Purls on Saturday.  Debbie is away and I have the key, so I am definitely going for the afternoon of knitting.
  • Close up the pool.  I can’t believe I haven’t been forced into this sooner by the weather, but I think I might go for one last swim on Sunday (predicted muggy and warm weather) and then close it up.

Other than that, things that should happen include dirt moving and housecleaning.  Things that likely will happen include knitting, spinning, and cooking.

Three days.  I can’t wait.

  1. I was afraid when A asked you to stay home for the three days, it meant all caregiving. I’m so glad you will get some ‘me’ time in there. Even a swim and closing up the pool will be alone time. Hopefully, there will be tons of knitting and spinning thrown in for good measure! Hugs!

  2. It’s funny–I’m retired so I have every day “off” but the weekend, and especially a long weekend, still seems special to me! Have fun and RELAX!

  3. Enjoy your long weekend. It is surprising that the weather has been this warm. This is probably the latest you’ve gone without having to close your pool. Take one nice long dip before you get it ready for winter.

A Note From Abroad
