Snapshot

sunrise

This was taken one cold October morning on Isle au Haut, Maine.  A piece of heaven.

Scanned from a  photo years ago, converted from an old bitmap file, it still is such a lovely shot, isn’t it?  This photo is one of my background wallpaper photos on my computer, and I just love when it pops up, it makes me feel serene.

Have a happy Monday!

  1. I hope you are able to stay as serene as this photo during your busy week!

I have a similar photograph, taken in the Adirondacks over a lake at sunset. Same sense of serenity. It’s framed and hanging in our home, and it really does emit a sense of calm.

    1. I wish I still had the original negative, I would definitely get this enlarged and framed. It isn’t a good quality scan, but I at least have this much. 🙂

I hope the serenity does last all week!

Good luck with all your deadlines, too. 🙂

  2. What a lovely photo. I still have my computer’s default background which is silly as I have loads of good photos I should use. *adds it to the list *

A Note From Abroad

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sailaway from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain
