As directed, I have been practicing for half an hour each day. The results are…well, let’s just say it will be interesting to see if my teacher can teach me to ply this lumpy twisty thing.
I do have to say that it is taking less time each day to get from the cursing stage to the “is this right?” stage.
It clearly isn’t yet, but I feel like it is just a matter of practice.
Looks like someone is spinning! I’ve never done it, but I am sure you will get better with practice. One day it will be like second nature to you; just like your knitting. I think you may need some chocolate nearby to get you through the frustrations 😉
oh. I like how you think! and I sure hope you are right!
Having had a morning’s spinning lesson myself a few years ago this is very impressive!
Thanks!
^__^ How fun for you!
Looking good for your first time spinning. Enjoy the process of learning. I think you’ll become a fantastic spinner.
Thanks, I am glad someone thinks so! 😖
It looks great already, I am sure you will be flying with it soon! I am trying to learn to spin using a drop spindle at the moment but I’m still at the cursing stage 😉
If you can get the drop spindle mastered you are better than I! I could not get the swing of that simple machine.
Sounds as if you’re heading in the right direction – and enjoying it 🙂
Thanks! Sometimes I enjoy it! 😝
