delivering hats!   6 comments

thirty hats

Thirty hats out of the closet and onto Maine heads! I’ll be delivering these to our Winter Wear program at work today. There’s another batch that I will be shipping off to Nest: Maine next week. It always amazes me what I can accomplish with my system of alternating charity hats with other projects all year-long.

If you are interested in donating hats (or mittens or scarves) to our project which supplies cold people with warm outerwear, please send them to Sarah Nugent c/o Washington Hancock Community Agency 248 Bucksport Road Ellsworth Maine 04605 (USA).

  1. 30? Wow, well done you. xx

  2. Thanks for the address I have a number of hats and mittens I’ve made and I will donate them to this cause.

    • great! Thank you! I’ll make sure they get on some cold people around the two counties. Washington County still has the unfortunate honor of being one of the poorest counties in the country, and having some of the oldest housing stock as well. two things that mean folks are really cold a lot of the time.
