by 6:45 am I have…

done last night’s dishes
cleaned the stove
changed closet over to summer clothes (ie, put away the winter clothes and neatly fold the summer clothes that were sort of scattered around waiting for winter clothes to get put away)
played with the cats
done some crocheting on the beanies
made my list for the day.

Note I have not gotten dressed yet. Yup, it’s vacation, alright. πŸ™‚

So, the back story.

A had to leave at 5:15 today to go to Weston, about a 3 hour drive. Her busiest season of the year is almost over, and she is exhausted. I am glad Thursday is a holiday, she needs the down time. Anyway…of course, when the alarm went off, the cats and I woke up. We fed them, including the anti-anxiety meds for Allie and Zumba. Zumba ate hers, Allie did not, I will be working on that later. Tigger thought that today would be a good day to go out, in spite of torrential rain coming down. She has since desisted her gentle but persistent meowing at each door. Trying to distract her, I worked on the closet (a cat free zone most of the time)but as she doesn’t know she isn’t allowed in it, she wasn’t that thrilled.

All of that woke me up, so I headed to the kitchen to get coffee, and was met by last night’s dishes. I forgot I said I would do them this morning, but no big deal, the dishwasher was empty. Then I decided that I should get some raspberries in process for jelly – since it takes so long to drain the juice. To do THAT, of course, I needed the stove. That’s when I remembered that when prepping raspberries for juice last night, the pot had boiled over. So, I took the stove apart to clean it. The last bits are soaking. And while they do that, I sat and watched the local morning news to see if it will ever stop raining (maybe tomorrow) and crochet. And check WordPress and email, of course. πŸ™‚

My list for today:

Try to get those bikes again, although I hate to do that in the rain
Work on skirts
Post Office
make jelly
have supper ready by 6

Oh, yeah – and get dressed!

    1. lol…. this is a holiday – getting through lots of little niggling chores so that Thursday when A is home for the 4th of July holiday, we can relax. And doing it at my own, puttering pace. πŸ™‚
